Saint Patricks Day Wall Hanging: Kids Craft
Use up leftover craft supplies while making a cute Saint Patrick’s Day decoration! I am using basic craft supplies from my stash and our sponsor Papermart:

You will need:
8″x8″ cardboard or matboard
Pipe Cleaners: Chinele: and metallic:
Craft foam/Fun Foam OR construction paper
Paper Straws:
Crepe paper:
Something to color with like chalk, crayons or paint
Quick grab glue such as low temp hot glue, Thick & Tacky glue, Beacon 3-in-1 or Helmar 450. (You need a glue that grabs quick!)
Paper ribbon:
scissors and wire cutters

And anything you want to add! This is a great project to use up leftovers you have to customize it to fit your supplies!

1. Cover a square of cardboard with burlap and glue the ends to the back.
2. Color or paint the front if desired.
3. Cut the foam into a pot, cloud and shamrock. You can use a die cut machine if you have one or scissors.
4. Loosely arrange the elements on the canvas and glue the items down when you are happy with them.
5. Make a frame by gluing paper straws to the edge of the picture but before you glue the top straw down insert a ribbon for hanging.

Please refer to the video for more instructions! Happy crafting!

I'm going to try to duplicate this in watercolor. I am not very good at watercolor, but, this looks simple enough to try and improve my skills. I recently did Koi fish based on your goldfish card. I didn't do nearly as well as you did of course, but, I tried and it was very relaxing to try. I had a particularly bad day the day before at work and it was very relaxing to try and do something creative. It really did help. Thanks for the inspiration.

  12. your videos are simply amazing πŸ™‚

  14. Hi, I have bee watching your watercolor tutorials and other videos. They have really inspired me to do more watercolor paintings, but the watercolor paper they sell where I live always scrunches up. Do you have any suggestions to fix it?

  16. Those are not shamrocks.Β  Shamrocks have 3 leaves, which is why they are considered holy (associated with the Catholic Trinity) and connected to St Patrick's day.Β  Four leaved clovers are a different plant.

And Patty is a girls' name in Ireland, it is not an abbreviation for PatrickΒ  πŸ™

  17. Very cute Happy St.Patricks day
